Siegels's Journal, 29 Dec 23

this is my real weight. my "no extraordinary effort" weight. I'd like to bring it a bit lower, but I'm guessing that's a 3-6 month journey. I added 5 pounds in a week over the holidays, no amount of pleasure from enjoying food is worth 6 months of extra effort to just get back to where I was.

I totally agree with you. And I might add that I think 145 pounds is an excellent weight and would be my goal weight. I weighed 115-125 pounds most of my adult life. Lots of women told me that they were jealous of me and I was lean but I was also sick almost all of the time. Caught everything that was going around. I didn't get obese until after menopause when I lost almost all of my family. Now I am fat and starting to be sick more often again. Not as fat as I have been but still too fat. So I have to keep working on it but I am not expecting miracles and people my age live longer with a little meat on their bones. I have altered my expectations.
