We just had the closing yesterday on Illinois home with a couple of acres of land!
We will not be moving in for about 2 months which gives us enough time for move
in and set up.
Our very first home at age 55. Super excited.🙂🙂🙂🙂 Originally we never wanted to own a home, but a change of heart and rents keep skyrocketing.
I will keep everyone updated on diet and weight updates, a pinch down during super busy times.

Smart move! I bought my home when I was 60. There was no way I could ever retire in a constantly rising rent market unless I did something radical. I parlayed a tiny retirement fund into a cash payment in a state where houses were still cheap. I don't fit with the surrounding political and religious beliefs, but I haven't regretted it.
