fat2foxy's Journal, 12 Mar 15

That wagon sure is slippery and hard to stay on. I caved last night and had a LOT of snacks with my husband it really wasn't worth it. That being said, we made a deal that last night would be the last night for unhealthy snacks. So, today I will be picking up some good snacks at the grocery store. I have a goal that I would like to hit, to feel sexier by my anniversary in June. If I don't buckle down, that won't happen.
I used to be quite the hottie when my husband and I got married, and about a month ago when my husband decided to start working out (although he has a nice build already) it occurred to me that when people see us as a couple, they are thinking "How did she ever get him". Although he is head over heals for me after 13 years of being married in spite of all of this weight, I feel horrible that the beautiful girl he married and was proud to have at his side has turned into a whale. I need to change that.

Keep at it, there is nothing you can't do if you want it and you work for it.

I completely mirror your last two sentences, word for word, even number of years married. Don't call yourself names. You're just the beautiful girl he married who has gained some weight. You're still beautiful in his eyes. LET'S WORK TO REGAIN OUR FORMER SELVES! :)

Just the other day, I was looking at our wedding picture on the mantle and thinking that is what I would look like again when I get close to my goal weight. Perhaps one motivation in the back of my head is that several of my friends recently found themselves on the "divorce diet", losing weight after their marriages broke up. I am not in danger of the hubby putting me on that diet, but I do want to get back to the me that he married. :)

I would love to get back to marriage day size too Izzy:) I have a LOT to go before that though so getting a bit smaller by June is my motivation so far. I will have to set mini goals throughout I think.

From 'I used to be quite the hottie.....' To the end. My life verbatim. Husband still loves me to the moon and back, and has never hinted any disappointment in my looks, at all. I understand how you feel. We are working on it girl! Don't call yourself names though, that'll only discourage you. Chin up, and kick some a$$ ;)
