15. My dear Buddies.
One down. I am having a cold now and I cannot tell for sure why I am a little tired. The low caloric intake maybe the cause as well? I normally am more energetic during the day. Is it just a matter of adjusting?
Wishing you happy, spring thoughts today and be careful on the ice :-)

Please make sure you are getting enough nutrients. Low calorie might be good for awhile, but nutrients will help ward off colds, infections, fatigue, etc. Hope you are feeling better soon!

Thank you all. You are right, Kattay, it is hard to do both...low cal and low carb, and also ingest some nutrients, but for me this is the only way now. My body is not the same like 15 years ago. It does not respond to pure Atkins induction anymore. Metabolism much slower. Before he died dr. Atkins was telling me that around menopause one can expect to have to keep a very strict carb count to lose anything. Basically, he was telling me it is perpetual induction until you lose it all. It seems that now even quantities matter...for me, at least. Bless his soul, what a genius..

I struggle with metabolism as well. I certainly have to work harder to lose a pound now than even a few months ago. Very frustrating. Plus I can gain a few pounds a week even when staying under RDI. I will be doing some adjusting for March. Good luck!
