4 weeks into the body recomp experiment -- no change in weight, 75kg is still 75kg! BUT! I am lifting heavier + doing slow walks.

No more kettlebell HIIT, no more cardio, increased naps, rest & sleep with regular meals every 3-4 hours incl the biggest change, breakfast within 30min of waking up everyday :)

Averages maintaining weight loss before starting bodyrecomp:
1800-1900 calories / 100g protein / 75g fat / 160g carb

Advised by my sportnutritionist for phase 1: 1570 cal / 120g prot / 50g fat / 160g carb

Averages in the past 4 weeks:
1500 cal / 117g prot / 51g fat / 140g carb

I have lost
-5cm bust
-9cm navel-waist
-4cm hip
-3cm bum
-1cm off each thigh (still have a lot of swelling since surgery)
-1cm off each bicep

All in all, positive progress -- I look forward to see what the next 4 weeks will bring, if the stress of moving will make an impact or not. Curiouser and curiouser -- it is *very* strange to me eating 300-400 calories less on average but not seeing any scale change after a very consistent month -- even I know from hardcore experience that it takes minimum 6 weeks of consistency to build the habit & start seeing fruits of labour, and I was always one of those people who typically gave up after 3 weeks of no changes, so there never even had a chance :D patience is paramount. longterm sustainability. Trust the process!
75 kg Lost so far: 70 kg.    Still to go: 0 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

Really interesting experiment. What are your thoughts, being a nutritionist yourself? How is your training built up?

In the beginning I had emotional and mental resistance to feeling controlled and restricted, until I switched my mindset over to solutions for the challenges, and I am super happy about no more cardio or HIIT which was apparently very bad for my hormonal type as a 40+ woman with endometriosis - so it’s a specific training because I really love having a big ass 😂 so I train 4x week with supersets and barely break a sweat so at first I was very skeptical but the results are speaking for themselves, my internal skepticism is being humbled. And everything I learned about HIIT being the best way to burn fat …. Out the window

And Bebechan as you are also a mature woman, and quite well trained have you ever in the past been doing HIIT or heavy cardio, or did you learn quite early about lifting heavy?

I definately have had my HIIT days haha, it has been quite a journey for me too. No more HIIT here either. Apart from lifting 6 times a week I still do 6+ hrs cardio too and need to eat accordingly. It is kind of nessecary, but if I didn't do this cardio, I would have progressed faster in the gym.

That is quite the journey yes! I think we all agree sometimes extra cardio is necessary more for our mindset or hearth health which goes above the quicker results, it’s quite an amazing journey to have come so far i agree 🙌🏻

Oh I mean, for me because biking is my mode of transportation 😅

I also use the bike as means of transportation. Simply, because I dont own a, car.

Oh in that way 😁 yes I definitely understand and prefer that daily life and incidental movement stuff, I define cardio more like suffering on gym equipment not going anywhere and needing to watch tv to distract from time going so slow 🐌 …while taking a bike to get around just feels like normal life stuff or i love to ride horses but would never call it exercise even though it is a massive workout just because to me it’s so fun so there’s no suffering or putting my hand in someone’s sweat puddle 😅
