Not sure why my weight is trending up again. I've been trying to keep my calories down and have been getting in a couple of walks a day. Maybe I'm retaining water.

Yesterday we spent several hours test driving cars after Mr Coco's trusty ol' CRV was declared a road hazard by our mechanic. The steering is on the verge of failure. The shocks are toast. It would take about $4000 to repair everything. Looked at Honda CRVs and Subaru Foresters. Even drove a Mini Cooper Countryman because it was in a similar price range. Whatever we get has to last another 10 yrs like our last car and the Subies have a good rep, so we may go with that. Thank goodness my Civic will be paid off in a few months.

You probably are holding water. That is, I think, the cause of most plateaux. Once your body lets it go you'll see a dramatic drop. I'd recommend looking at a Scion xB. That's what we have. Easy to get in and out of, reasonable mileage, quite zippy, a lot of space.

I don't know why we didn't visit a Toyota dealership. We even considered the RAV, but forgot about the Scion. That's a cool-looking little car. Thanks for the tip, but the Subie is a done deal now because their special 36-month free maintenance and cheap financing ends today. Now if we get any more snow & ice down here like we did last winter, this 4wd will be ready for it!
