Nikina70's Journal, 16 Dec 22

Had to step on the scale twice this morning. It could have been lower because it's too friggin' freezing to remove my PJs, but it's all good. Quite chuffed. Wondering if I'll lose any more this month. I would be very happy to maintain under 67kg for December, but we shall see.

Lots of holiday snacks have been bought already and there will be feasting! I am very glad that my evening job has yielded the results I wanted though. It doesn't feel as physical as I thought it would, but I must be burning some calories - and in comparison to sitting on my behind watching Netflix or YouTube in the evenings it can only be a good thing. Has gotten me out of my comfort zone driving at night as well. And I have to walk the 45 minutes there twice next week (it's usually only once a week when hubby has the car for work).

Felt quite a bit better this week although I still have a nasty sounding cough that comes back every now and then. So we went for a nice walk yesterday and might do again this afternoon to take advantage of the sunshine. I really missed out last week when I wasn't up to going anywhere besides work. I only took Monday off sick.

So because I wasn't feeling well we missed the pub quiz last Monday as well, but then they did one this last Monday and it was really lovely to see most of the gang. We got 16 out of 25 with five of us - not great, but not too bad. - and a good time had by all. It will probably be the last one for the year so we're looking forward to starting fresh again in Jan.

I am seeing a bookkeeper on Monday morning to get all my ducks in a row and she'll help me file my tax return. Looking forward to having it all squared away so I can stop worrying about it, but I think it might only be wrapped up by mid Jan if all goes to plan. I'm so looking forward to getting things done well before the end of year next year!

Hope you all have a lovely weekend! xxx

Freezing? Isn’t it summer in SA?

I don't have pajamas I only use robes so it's easier for me but I'm still lazy so one day I weighed myself with and without robe to check how much was the robe and now I simply cut that amount out and I can step on the scale without freezing. You should do that too! It'll take you 3 minutes on one day and then you'll be free to keep your pj on every time! 😁😘😘😘

Yes, it's our second winter in the UK, Daddy Manatee - and so far quite a bit harsher than last year. Down to -2 last week. This week thankfully It's up to 9 and 14 degrees so not too bad.

@Nikina you're welcome.. Not gonna lie I also weighed myself without the fitbit and other accessories like hair clips or glasses.. Hoping it would make a difference.. It doesn't. 😬😬🤣 Ahhh we went down to -6 °C in London this year. And snowed for a few days. 🌨️☃️
