Wow! This "Conscious Eating" plan (just my own made-up guide LOL) has really opened my eyes! Guess I was caught in that Meh Kinda Dieting Kinda Not zone. No big weight loss this week; definitely more movement and feeling more energized! Will post more thoughts with next weigh-in. Have an awesome Tuesday; wow, almost December! Eeeekkkk
138.5 kg Lost so far: 22.5 kg.    Still to go: 3.4 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

Liv I love that you are straying from the “normal” dieting and counting calories and doing what feels right for you. You nailed it when you said that if you deprive yourself you will binge. The ultimate goal is to lose weight. It doesn’t have to be fast, just consistent. But just as important as losing weight is to find a lifestyle that helps you maintain what you have lost. You can only do this by forming good, sustainable habits. I know this because for many years, I taught healthy eating and weight loss classes. And back then I never gained weight so never had to apply any of it to me. Fast forward to retirement and I “suddenly” gained more weight than I wanted to. So began my weight loss journey here last year. I did well. Reached my goal and all but the process of meal planning for macros and recording it became stressful for me. All I though about was what I was going to make for meals. And when I “fell off” the plan and gained weight I felt defeated. So I stopped recording meals and did a pretty good job of maintenance. But last October I fell and broke 2 pelvic bones. I gained back close to 10 pounds during my 6 month recovery. I am back here tracking my weight but I don’t record my meals. I find now, like you, I know what I should be eating and strive to have healthy food available to make meals with. I love the idea of mindful eating and know that it works for me.
