So I did my 1st year of cycle racing this year. It was impossible to lose weight during that as I needed 3-4K calories just to maintain and also if I cut below that I wasn't able to perform. So I just put off 'losing the additional' weight to this offseason. I really enjoyed the off -season last year and 'routine' of it all. I got down to around 175-176 at my lowest and I maintained 177-178 the whole season. So I did good. I recently had a daughter in early September so I had scheduled 'time off' the bike. Was gonna be 4-6 initially but ended up being 7 weeks. I gained weight during that time period. But I am not bummed out at all. The time off the bike really gave me the motivation I needed. So it looks like I'm back at the off season grind of my routine and I have even more ambitious plans this off season. Goal weight: 165 which is easily attainable and Supergoal weight: 155. I think climbing hills will be a lot easier at 160 than 182. :)
