Early morning weigh in so not surprised it's up a tad.

I'm sitting outside on the deck after watering some plants. I'm trying to give myself an "attitude adjustment". The day started out fine...got my blood drawn with minimal bother. Then I tried to reschedule my Dr. Appt. for next week. I was told since it's considered a Physical they wouldn't be able to schedule me til next year. Supposedly only a certain # of Physicals are scheduled a day to allow time for the doctor to see sick patients. I got a new appt. & didn't realize it is a full 6 months out in Feb.😕 til I left the office. I did ask to be put on the wait list if someone cancels. I decided I could live with it.

I stopped by the Dollar Store to buy a Birthday card. There are new self service registers & the only clerk was tied up in conversation with someone , so I rang myself up & paid. The clerk stopped me going out the door saying I hadn't completed the transaction. I had paid in cash & even received change but went back in. For some reason the register was frozen up, but the clerk decided she believed me when I said I had paid already. I didn't have a receipt cause the register had spit out a bunch of paper but I couldn't figure out which was my receipt so I left it. Meanwhile there's a line of half a dozen people....not my problem 🙄

I started receiving messages on my phone I had new info in "My Chart" from the doctor's office. I opened them & started checking the lab results. I was totally surprised when I looked at the lipid panel & it's saying my LDL cholesterol had gone up. I'm the lowest weight ever, I quit drinking regularly & I've been working out for 3 months!! WTH! It put me in a crummy mood. I even talked about it with my trainer when I got to the Gym.

I tried to pull up all the test info later, after working out to look at it closer. The file with the lipid panel has disappeared. I messaged the nurse @ the office & asked if I'd been sent a file by mistake. She responded my lipid panel had not come through yet & they'd been having some technical problems with "My Chart". So now I'm waiting to see what my actual #s are. I was sure I'd see a drop after all the work I've put into getting healthier. Meanwhile my "Mood" seems determined to hang on 😒

I struggled a bit with my workout today. I'm not sure if it's because of my frame of mind or cause I was tired. Sammie did have me try a couple of new machines & the weight wasn't easy. She also had me do a routine with hand weights sitting, standing, bending then bending a knee, sitting again. I totally sucked at remembering what to do each count. I need to practice that one at home so I can figure it out. First time I've left the Gym not feeling the endorphins. I've left exhausted but usually feeling pretty positive.

I have a lot to accomplish tomorrow....prepping the dogs meals for when we're gone, packing & I need to clean the downstairs bathroom. We have to bring sheets & towels to the house we're renting. We're bringing some for my daughter too so she won't have to bring them on the plane. I have the sheets ready but I need to decide which towels I'm bringing.

Signing off....almost time to feed the dogs & make dinner for us.

What a frustrating day! I had similar issues Sunday morning when I sent my non coffee drinking husband to purchase coffee and let's just say it didn't go as planned. Threw on jeans to go and return one purchase only to remember I had taken my wallet out of my purse for something at work and left it there. I was able to scrounge up a few bucks from the car and was thankful I was refunded cash and wasn't told it would have to go back on the debit card or I would've probably cried. Your day seems more aggravating than that. I hope your lab results reflect your new healthy habits! Have a better night! Relax and read whatever you're currently reading. 📚 ❤

Thanks for the support DP & Wonder. I was feeling pretty discouraged on Monday but the week got better. When I got the accurate lab report my cholesterol was OK....down overall & the LDL was only a point difference from last time. My doctor's nurse called me yesterday afternoon & scheduled a new appointment for my Physical in a couple of weeks....not 6 months out!

OMG you've been thru the wringer! I get that pain with the LDL cholesterol! But, my GYN told me that certain meds, like estrogen & antidepressants can raise it! FML lol! She said don't worry about it, but eat less red meat & more fish. I'm trying! 😀 I have the same tests next week. 😫 Oh I hate MyChart, btw!
