Sept 15/14 Had full checkup with new doctor. Cholestrol is up (put on medication) have fatty liver & am pre-diabetic. Wants me to get a Glucose monitor & some instructions on nutrition. I already know the nutrition side of eating, I just don't practice it. I have been expecting this diagnosis for the past 20 yrs & hoped that I would smarten up before I did. I know that pre-diabetes can be prevented from going full blown into Diabetes. I am hoping this will make me "wake up" !!!!! Since Monday I have been trying to incorporate more exercise into my day. Reduce portions of my food intake & cut out simple carbohydrates. I am going on holidays in 2 wks time for almost 6 wks. Part of which is an 18 day cruise to Australia. The best part of cruising is the 5 star dining!!!! I worry that as usual, I will have no willpower to resist temptation.
