I went off my strict food woe yesterday but only by a little. I still think I did very well with my choices especially with ALL the temptation around me!
My BFF & I went out to lunch which was at first a concern with me, but she is so supportive and we looked online to see what the menu was at the place she wanted to go to so I could see if there were good choices for me. I decided on a grilled chicken salad, no croutons, no cheese & a balsamic dressing on the side. It was very good and satisfying. She also did well with choosing a side salad instead of the fries that would come with her burger, eating just half of the burger and tossed the bottom of the bun. SO maybe I am helping her make good choices also :-)
Today she wants to go to a all you can eat breakfast buffet, I'll go but will stick with just the eggs, maybe bacon & sausage, leave the potatoes, cornbeef hash (which I like), leave the bread items, pancakes (which I'm not a fan of anyway) and try to keep the portions under control. The price is good and you can get a lot of food (use to be $5, now went up to $7) But I have to CONTROL myself! AND also I need to keep it together the rest of the day. She had wanted to go to a chocolate factory/store we have in town yesterday (has a coupon she needs to use) But resisted and hopefully she will continue to resist until she is back in Sept.
