Now that I'm starting to burn some of the belly-jello, I'm seeing my sodium levels' effect. They were hidden for such a long time, but now are evident. It's not disappointing or frustrating, but it's funny how much water I retain. I never paid attention before lol.

Salt and seasoning is more necessary than before with all the low-cal dinners lately though...

In fact, Lane Norton posted a study wherein 240 bodybuilding subjects were divided into two groups: those who were fed donuts and those who were fed plain chicken breast and broccoli.

The study revealed 81% of participants from the unseasoned chicken/broccoli group vomited. It further showed only 1% of the donut group tossed their cookies (they were accidently fed the wrong baked good and threw them in the lab in protest).

Thus it was concluded donuts were the optimal choice for enjoyment between the two. Unseasoned chicken breast was found to be, not only suboptimal, but intolerable for most participants and other humans.

All I can think of is how much methane that produces. TIA

LOL love the reference to the fake Layne Norton study. There are no optimal choices with dieting in my experience. Trying to eat donuts more than occasionally while cutting drives me crazy and leaves me hungry because of the volume I have to sacrifice to fit it into the calories. But then it's not fun or delicious to eat mostly "whole foods". The cost of being actually lean I guess.

Oh, Little_HalfFish, trust me... I can't even stand the smell before the 1/2 cup of garlic salt is added. It actually reminds me of my keto days - eating 5 cans of tuna with no mayo each day lol. NEVER AGAIN!

I choose not to think about the body-fracking that takes place to release the methane, KatsAlone.

And Grainy_the_Casein, I agree. I'm just trying to keep the calories low and the proteins high for a little bit. It really doesn't matter, but it's a less caloric alternative to my meat/cheese/pasta norm. This too shall pass lol.
