WOW! 🤩 I haven’t been this low of weight since December… The last few months I’ve been sorting through some things in my head and coming up with a new plan for losing weight and trying to be less of an introvert. This past week I started with those plans in place. More veggies, and protein and less carb rich items but not to the point where I’m denying myself all the cravings because then I will resent myself for making such a plan.

Also signed up for a gym membership at a gym that’s newer to my area that has a lot of influence from the local clinic/hospital who put this community health center together. Took a tour of the place last week to get familiar and it has so much to offer compared to the old gym I use to attend. There’s several classes everyday both in person and virtual, on really icky days there’s a place to take my youngest to play inside with a basketball court and indoor playground.

I feel as though I’m turning over a new leaf for me, and discovering many things about myself; especially after my several months of sorting through my head. I’ve always been the one to take care of everyone from a very young age and never really taken the time to figure out what does taking care of myself to have a healthy mind/body mean to me.

As of right now my healthy plan has a goal of losing weight at 5lb increments with non food rewards for every goal that’s met. The fact that I almost met my first goal in the first week is very encouraging for keeping up with all the vegggies and extra movement I’ve been doing, even though it’s exhausting some days. Here’s to a new week and continuing what I’ve started.

Sounds like you are ready to make some changes. Put a picture of your kids on the fridge. What greater motivation could there be. You want to be around and as healthy as possible while they are growing up. They tell me that being a grandma is so much more fun than being a parent. Good things to look forward to

Awesome! I do great at planning but kinda suck at follow thru. I have no food pushers, influencers or trouble makers at my spot since I'm the only one there with all fingers pointing at me. I am 69 with pain and mobility issues but can do more than I've been doing, I know! I am inspired by your post! Thank you and blessings to you in your journey.
