With an impending tummy tuck & armlift in less than a month, I find my weight still stable within a couple kilos up/down of my initial goal weight 75kg it has been so for a good 5 years thereabouts even after hitting my "lowest weight 69kg" in 2017 it was not sustainable for me lifestyle/joy wise, and I gained a bit after a heavy emotional event in 2019, then again during "covid", then lost a bit more during another heavy emotional event in 2021 - it's easy to see how our emotional state can influence things, and how goal weight does not always equal mentally stable happy weight. Interesting observations.

In any case, I will be keeping a close eye on things coming up to the operation, and I plan to avoid the gym -- or anything else that may risk me getting sick beforehand like friday work drinks and social events -- I do plan on continuing lifting kettlebells at home and walking outside. Walking is for sure the most underrated tool for long term sustainable weight loss that tends to get overlooked. My surgeon has recommended some pre & post surgical supplement powders which I have purchased. Next step is to buy the compression garments, book the hotel for night before, and arrange a "softer" suspension car for the drive home :D

After starting my journey in 2012 -- well, officially the seeds of desire were planted in 2011, but action started in 2012 -- it feels like the final step, the letting go of the final reminders. I prefer scars on my flesh than extra flesh weighing me down, scars are simply reflections of the scars on my heart and mind, the healing of the wounds, those are beautiful.
