It is ridiculous that it takes me going under 1000 calories a day to lose any weight. I exercise six days a week including cycle, body pump, and yoga. Sometimes all three in one day. I eat all lean proteins, vegetables and fruits. All this and I still can’t seem to get the scale to budge. Then my husband comes home and says he unintentionally lost weight. Ugh! I’m hungry and miserable 😖

Your body is holding on to calories as a safety measure because you aren’t eating enough (1000 calories) for all the activity you are doing.

Exercise is a stress on your body. Too much stress and your metabolism goes into survival mode. Less is more, as far as activity. Unless you want to eat more to fuel all that you are doing.

Thank you. I had suspected that I may be over exercising also. As a fitness instructor it’s very difficult to abstain from working out. The endorphin release keeps me away from depression. However, right now I’m diagnosed with Covid and can’t go to the gym for a week. Maybe this is the forced break that I need.

Sounds like 1000c/day is way too low for any active person. l'm losing lbs at 2100-2300/day. Started out sedentary and only moderately active now. Could you also just be accumulating more muscle from exercising at the same time...? 💪🤔

Sometimes you need to increase your calorie intake to jump start your weight loss. Especially if you workout alot. I do CICO but I also pay attention to daily amount of protein, fat, and carbs. That s formula is what works for me...I notice that for me when I exercise alot ( I do body pump, treadmill, and weightlifting 6 days a week) I need alot of protein and fat ( at least 40-50 grams a day of fat, 100+ grams of protein, and 80-100 grams of carbs a day) I too have been stuck at current weight but I attribute it to the hard workouts I've been doing. At least I'm not gaining! Last visit to nutritionist was really good as well. I lost 1/2" in waist, gained 1/4" in biceps ( good thing) lost 1/4" on hips, and thighs were same. Try checking your measurements.
