59Carol's Journal, 11 Dec 21

It is a relief to finally log in a significant loss! I lost 2.2 pounds this week. Two times earlier this week it was a 3 pound loss however the average of the week is actually where I weighed in at this morning.

My calories this week were quite high. Four days were significantly above my calorie intentions, two were significantly below and one was a bit up. This type of week is usually a recipe for a large gain. I am not sure why it wasn't other than the weeks of the scale not moving and finally it did.

The significantly over days are associated with having sweet treats - either candy and mints or as it was yesterday a gourmet cookie. I am now approaching the sweet treats as something I do when I go to town however single servings so it is one and done so the candy and mints that I had in the house is not a plan I will do again. The licorce toffee or the gourmet cookie method will be the future plan. Generally I go to town once a week (this week it was twice) so a sweet treat once a week is fine. I will make a plan before going to town what the sweet treat will be so I am not impulsive in my choices.

This week I got a really short pixie cut and I got my booster shot! I am making a few plans around Christmas. I got my Christmas turkey yesterday when the Hutterites were in town. I had a girlfriend come stay with me for a couple of nights. It was lovely to host a friend.

I will see about a picture. I am one of those people who are noted for taking horrendous pictures! In this world of selfies I avoid them like the plague. I will experiment or maybe see if someone else will take one of me.

I am going to town tomorrow so that is the first opportunity to consider what the treat might be. I will consider that today. There is a chai tea in town at a little coffee shop made with oat milk that is devine. That might be it! I am also in town on Thursday and am meeting a friend for lunch so I might not do a treat until then. Will think about it.
