59Carol's Journal, 27 Nov 21

I am logging a loss this week - not much 0.2 but a loss. I am not particularyly pleased in that I averaged a pound less this week and was expecting to be less this morning. I am not pleased that this month I gained 1.0 pounds over the whole month. Because I gained in both August and November I have only lost 0.4 since July. This is disappointing. In the first six months this year I lost 17.6 pounds.

I know that I have met my initial goal however I am aware that I if I lose another 20-30 pounds, I will be at a healthier weight than I am now.

This week has been about getting my rental units advertised and showing them to potential renters. There are some good prospects. Hopefully it will be all rented in the next week.

I met a friend for lunch this past week. It felt decandent going to a restaurant and having a bowl of soup with a friend I haven't seen in months. We had such a nice visit!

These are trying times Carol, and many of us are struggling. Maintaining right now is really doing well. Hope you get those rentals occupied quickly. 🍁

I second what Shir said. Maintaining can be harder than losing. Hang in there and your body will start cooperating. Glad to hear renting out your units is going smoothly. 😊

I continue to hold the line this week - neutral on the weight front. Thank you Shirfleur and Ccandco for your encouragement. It is, as always, all relative. I am thrilled to be under 170 especially when I started at 270. Yet I am not satisfied with my present weight as I would like to be in the 150s to be into a healthier weight zone! One foot in front of the other....and all that!

Anyone who can lose 100+ pounds is a PRO at weight loss! Unfortunately as we lose weight our metabolism slows down. Maybe you could try adding some weight lifting as that increases muscle mass and metabolism. Best wishes to you as you work to move down a bit more.

Thank you for your suggestion Brenda! I do very limited weight lifting - using 3, 5 and 7 lb weights! Mostly for the purpose of not losing bone mass. It is a thought that I could do more here. I will consider your suggestion.
