Morning fatseceters!!

I'm up almost a pound this week, and I am not at all surprised. My daily snacks were not very healthy this week on account of not making time to buy groceries. They have been, for example, dark chocolate covered almonds, starbucks' skinny caramel macchiato short or butter pecan ice cream.

I think I need extra motivation to stay on track. It's been a few months now of being back on the weight loss journey and I think that after having lost over 20 pounds, it's getting much more difficult to keep going.

Do you recommend anything to help motivate me? I fear that since I've lost a considerable amount of weight before, the things that worked once are wearing off and aren't really effective. I need some totally new and unheard of motivation to keep me on track.

Anything would help. Thanks fat secreters!! Have a lovely weekend!!!

The best thing would be to increase the intensity of your workouts. The motivation comes from the form of lactic acid buildup in your muscles when you feel like "damn, it hurts, must be doing something!" then before you know it, you will be toned and your muscles will be burning more calories just in idle state.

everything in moderation. A few almonds half of the drink and a small scoop of ice cream. .. the little weight you gained is water or a little bit of the pipes being backed up. :)

Don't really have much to offer besides what the above two commenters suggested. I do know that all the work I've put in over the past 3 months has led to a higher metabolic rate, so everything you do this month will be helping you down the line. It isn't necessarily overnight, so you have to look at the long-term picture. You're in the final sprint and it is the hardest work of all. Keep up the great work!

Read a book about exercise, weight loss, or finding motivation. The author's words will ignite your desire to be committed to your program again. Think about where you would like to be and why. Write it down, and try to keep it in the front of your mind every day. Don't let it go, and you will remain motivated. Maybe change your outlook on why you want to reach your goals to be more health-related, rather than weight loss-related. For example, do you want to be healthy and fit? Do you want to feel good and live a long life? Maybe focus on trying to not gain weight, rather than to lose weight - for now - until you get your motivation back. Refrain from sugar to keep your appetite in check. Just forbid yourself from having any, and stay away from things that will lead you to having it. Definitely go grocery shopping, and get all healthy foods. Avoid the aisles with unhealthy foods - don't go down them at all. Out of sight, out of mind. If you don't have any unhealthy foods at home, you won't eat them. Make small changes and congratulate yourself on each good decision you make. Be proud of each accomplishment and it will inspire you to do more and continue. But my best advice to get started was my first advice - buy a book on motivation, weight loss, exercise, or all three combined. That way, you won't have to motivate yourself - someone will do it for you! Whatever you do, don't give up. The sugar is probably taking away your resolve to stick to you diet, so definitely avoid it.

Actually, here are all three .. goo.gl/5UiiO9 I've tried two of them - the belly slimming and the anti-aging/bloat.. The anti-bloat works very well and helps me.. I love the way the orange/lemon/mint tastes and I add a little bit of honey to mine to give it a lemonade flavor. If you click on my profile journal they are listed on my journal entry for today. I can't keep them a secret because I love them so much!

Light exercise is the best motivator I know of! :) Honestly! When you find the your favorite type of exercise you won't want another thing!

Also, apart from the light exercise, doing a few abs does wonders, not for motivation, but for the weight :) I never imagined it worked this well!

Thank you, everyone. I hope I can get back to real exercising soon. I'm still nursing an injury and really only do my assigned occupational therapy exercises. That Natural Belly Slimming Detox Water sounds awesome... and simple! And I can definitely practice more moderation and catch up on motivational reading. Thank you thank you!!! I just need to keep going meal by meal of now. All of your words are well appreciated. :)
