Up just a tich after dinner out last night. Before our main course I sampled the appetizers ordered for the table. I wanted to taste them....ate 1 bite of calamari & a piece of a spicy egg roll. Both were good but I saved my appetite for dinner. I didn't eat any lunch. We were meeting our friends @ 5PM & Hubby & I went down a little early to go to Home Depot (researching toilet replacement for our guest cottage) & to buy more peanuts for the birds @ Walmart. One of the specials was a Petite Sirloin with Coconut Shrimp. It came with broccoli & a side...I chose mashed potatoes instead the pictured baked potato. We haven't seen our friends from Hilton Head in quite some time. All of us got together every week for years for dinner. Since Covid we have only seen one of the other other couples a handful of times. It was really nice to see everyone & catch up.

I didn't sleep well last night. I must have finally dozed off around 4AM 😒 I received a message from my daughter in law just before I went up to bed. We have a contentious relationship & without going into details I'll say I couldn't get things she said off my mind.

Today I've been a bit unmotivated. I did go out & blow leaves off the back deck, the patio area, the top of the driveway & the garden paths. Hubby, the dogs & I just got back from our afternoon walk. It's a bit chilly but the sun was shining.

I took Shrimp out for dinner...still need to decide how to cook them & with what. I waited til late to take something out & knew they would defrost in time. I may just make a nice salad 🥗

Oh dear, I have a DIL who dislikes me, not a pleasant situation. I come from a family where we all like to get together and have fun. So sad to have a family member who doesn't want to join in.
