Very glad that we are all journeying together, Lisa. Whether we have 10 pounds or 50 pounds to lose, being overweight is one of life's lesser joys. We feel the same way about many things, especially that. We are determined to eat more healthfully. We want to look better and feel more fit. We want to change our eting and health habits for life. We will not make excuses to sabotage ourselves. And we are not going to beat ourselves up about outr weight right now. :) We stay upbeat and positive no matter what. So much in life can change for the better! We believe we can do this - it doesn't matter how often we have fallen in the past - our past does not equal our future. What matters now is focusing on what we want, identifying what we need to get it, and taking action. Health and happiness are so important to us. :) We stand strong, and together we stand stronger!!! Thanks for the incredibly profound, life-changing video this morning Lisa. :) Very grateful for your sharing - much appreciated!!! Hope you have an awesome Friday and weekend too. :) Are the camera crews coming today?

Camera crew cancelled and will meet with me on Tuesday the 29th...I am still excited about having this upcoming experience. Today is going to be cool too as the following text is what is happening at Mary's school..To Life! How do you feed a thousand of kids for a hundred years? In the last 7 years, the Fruit Tree Tour Program has directly impacted 60,000 students, transformed over 180 low income schools and community centers into abundant orchards with the planting of over 4,300 fruit trees. You are invited to join us for a fun filled day of learning and planting for the future. 20 volunteers arrival on a pair of vegetable-oil-powered buses to sha...re a day that the school will never forget. The program includes: * Green Theater on a Solar Stage * Fruit Tree Planting * Eco-Art: Orchard Signs * Drip, Mulch, and Micro-life * Tree Care: Training and Support Green Theater: The performance brings a live band, professional puppetry, and characters like time traveling professors, urban farmers, and giant talking worms to educate students about the environment, healthy foods, and caring for the health of the community. Education with Inspiration: Visual arts, music, and celebration teach students the science and importance of environmental issues. Be the Change: The performance challenges students to see their own schoolyard as a place they can make a difference for the local and global environment while improving their community. Fruit Trees Students plant their schoolyard with 10-30 fruit trees. The diverse orchard will fruit throughout the school year with a wide spread of delicious varieties. Working Together Students cooperate to shovel, pick, move soil, haul water, and tuck in the roots of the new tree. Think Global, Plant Local Small planting groups explore how their actions locally have an impact on their community and the greater eco-system. "No really. You are what you eat” From plant biology to the importance of fresh food, students look closely at connections between the health of self and environment. What is Most Important? Common Vision's team facilitates dialogues about concepts from the performance and what students see as important in their lives, school, and neighborhoods. Putting Voice to Vision From these dialogues, students work together to create signs that carry inspiring messages and images for their community. Meaningful Beautification Signs work as giant labels carrying names of each fruit varieties while infusing the young orchard with colorful reminder of the spirit of cooperation, respect, and earth care they cultivated together. (Maria and all my fat secret buddies thinking about the possibilites to enrich our lives and the lives of others...To Life, TOWANDA!!!!!!!)

OMG thats fantastic Lisa lots of fruit... what kind of fruit trees?
25 Mar 11 by member: gizmonel
Nelson there were, apple, fugi, pear, cherry, apricot, just about any kind imaginable except for citrus. Common vision may come in a few years to put in a citrus orchard too! It was a cool experience, perhaps when my kids are all grown I'll be in good enough shape to take a bus tour in my future! TOWANDA!!!
