59Carol's Journal, 06 Nov 21

This was an unusual week in the weight world. I was eating normally and on the low side this week. To my surprise all week long my weight was slightly up. I averaged 166 over the week. I ranged from 164.6 to 166.8. So the actual weight this morning wasn't a surprise.

Gaining 0.8 when averaging slightly lower than last week's calories when I lost 1.8 pounds is a surprise. It is possible that I have underestimated this week's calories however I think I am prretty consistent in how I count them from week to week. Perhaps more butter??? That one can really add up quickly.

This week has been fairly uneventful. Projects are at a stop of the season. I am still hoping for some yard clean up. However, that may go by the wayside if the weather turns. Plans are in the mix but .... plans change! And they already have. There was a plan for an incinerator to be brought to my property and used today. That hasn't occured but it is still on the list. We'll see...

I have joined the Restorative Justice Board in my community. I was on this Board when my husband became ill and so I stepped off. I am ready to pick up that piece again. I continue with the Women's Shelter Board. I enjoy volunteering for causes that are important to my community.

Thank you Liz Andra. I feel both issues are important and so I am more than willing to offer my time to both projects. Small communities such as mine run on volunteer power.

Always good to get involved in the community. I don't do as much as I used to, but still do a little.

Keeping active even after retirement is good for you. Prevents you from being sedentary. Stay strong 💪🏼
