Diana 1234's Journal, 01 Nov 21

I am not doing well with weight maintenance. I'm back to working out, still not at same level that I was before but trying to do 4 days a week. Weights are not as much either. I will continue to move forward but not to hopeful that I'll ever be able to lift like I used to...

I know the more consistent you are with your workouts the more your body get use to it in time. Kinda becomes a habit. I know When I started it was less than 20 mins a day, overtime I kept consistent with it, like still get it done on days you don’t want to. Now I’m addicted to the gainz and working out 40-60mins a day. And the crazy part is I look forward to it 😂 make your body accept it as a habit, and you will like the gainz 😉

Oh, Diana, it is such a struggle when we know where we were and want to get back there strength wise. You have been through a lot of rough stuff lately. Hang in there and know we are all cheering for you. I am having a hard time too only not doing as well as you! You are doing wonderfully from the angle I can see!

Don't give up

I know exactly how you feel, as I'm in the same boat now. It is discouraging. I'm going through a bit of a slump but trying to find other ways to move and burn calories. Maybe you'll get it back over time. The hardest part is taking things slower and having the mental toughness to keep forging on. But, I know you can do it!!! Hang in there.

I gave up on the gym a year ago. But I am trying to get some exercise just picking up broken twigs all over my yard after the last wind and rain storm.

My friends, thank you all for your support. I feel rejuvenated with all your positive words. Sometimes I wish we could all see each other in person so I could tell each one of you how much your support means to me. You all make me feel like I can overcome this rut I'm in...I appreciate you all so much. I'm proud and thankful to call you all my friends.💜💜💜

the act of repetitions is most important, not the weight, right!

Maintenance is a good plan

I don’t see any issue with your maintenance. I’m also in maintenance and I’m up sometimes by two pounds and then down three it’s all over the place, up and down. I’ve just gone through months struggling with my knee but I never gave up, I did core and back and arms and chest and did what I could. We have to find ways. ❤️ The whole thing about this app to me, it’s not about just numbers of losing weight or maintaining, but it’s learning to cope when life throws us huge curveballs. It can be done and I know you can do it as well Diana. I’ll say a prayer for you that you will persevere and overcome. Love you. 🙏🙏💕💕

Yes, repetitions are more important than weight, I agree, lydium. But easing into weight lifting is also super important. It’s easy to overdo and then back off when you’re sore. Baby steps for sure. Good luck sweetie. The most important exercise is the exercise you’ll do. 🥰
