I gained 0.8 pound this week. That ordinarily would be disappointing to me. The fact of the matter is that I ate above my normal intake literally every day this week. I have a colour coated way of looking at my calories. If I am a bit above I use yellow (caution) and a lot above is red (stoppp!). This week I had 4 yellow and 3 red. So a gain of less than a pound is amazing! I am taking the scale as a win and the calorie intake as something I need to attend to this up coming week!

There is no mystery as to where I need to deal with the calorie intake. Nuts, peanut butter and ice cream (one day only thank goodness!) I have put the peanut butter into the freezer two days ago so that should take care of that. Ice cream was bought as a single serving so not a home temptation. The nuts are really the place that I will need to be vigilant. I have done so in the past and I can in the future. If I don't get a handle on it, I will not buy peanuts for awhile and rely on almonds. I don't seem to overeat those in the same way.

I would have been out of the 'yellow' yesterday if I had better eyesight! I was in a health food store buying some stuff for my knee that has been working well. I spotted these little energy balls. I squinted at the nutrition information. I saw 140 calories. I could feel that there were two energy balls in the package. So I figured 70 calories each. This morning I enter in the calories. I put on my reading glasses to double check the information and discover 140 calories each not for both! Urghhh!

The stucco job continues. The base scratch coat is on the house and most of the garage. The stone work is slow going and finicky. It is looking good however I have to rein in my impatience. Today I think that it will be just the rock being done as two of the workers are not making it. It is supposed to rain Sunday and Monday so nothing can be done on those two days. Winter is coming....

You're doing great on maintenance Carol. So irritating to misunderstand calories of an item until after you've eaten. I'm looking forward to seeing your home exterior completed. Autumn in Houston, highs in the 80s, lows in the 60s. Feels good though as the humidity has dropped way down. 🍁

Oh Shirfleur the weather is so different here right now. Our highs have been in the high 50s and the lows are in the high 30s. So that is why I am saying winter is coming! It was beautiful out yesterday as it warmed up to 66! I really want to see the exterior done. Maybe in a week or two if the weather holds. Thank you for the encouragement on my maintenance. I still want to inch downwards a bit more. I am definitely experimenting with what it feels and looks like.
