Just back from our walk...almost time to feed the dogs & cook dinner. I have chicken breasts brining...it helps keep them moist during cooking. Planning asparagus with them. I bought some Buffalo Jack cheese slices (monterrey jack with Buffalo sauce) & I'm thinking a slice on each breast would be tasty. I'm not sure if we need anything else with that. If so, I might slice some tomatoes. As you can see...dinner is a work in progress.

I went to the Library, Post Office & Walmart this afternoon. I bought 4 medium size Mums & a couple of small ones to tuck into a couple of planters. I'm not quite ready to change the inside decor to Fall but I decided outside is good. Since the deer got into the gardens & some of the plants are fizzling out cause its the end of Summer I was ready for some color. The temperature is getting cool overnight & early morning but afternoons are still warm.

Time to cook....

I've read that sprinkling Irish Spring soap shavings around your garden repels deer. Have you tried it?

Yes Shir, that's one of the many things I tried. I have a home made repellant that works, but it gets diluted when it rains. I was away for a week & unable to refresh it when it rained heavily.
