59Carol's Journal, 04 Sep 21

Another large loss this week! 6.2 pounds. This is highly uncharacteristic. I had two weeks of huge gains at 5.9 and 4.9 pounds (total gain-10.8 pounds) followed by two weeks of huge losses at 7.2 and 6.2 (this week)(total loss-13.4 pounds). This is actually is a net loss of 2.6 pounds. Generally when I gain like this it is weeks and sometimes months before I can lose the weight again.

I am not exactly sure what made these last two weeks different than all the times I have returned to my normal eating habits and then excruiatingly slowly lost the weight again. I mentioned before how my body protested the poor eating choices and how incredibly glad I was to return to normal eating patterns. In the past my body was not thrilled with the over eating and made that known but not the food choices per se. Frankly - I am thrilled to take these losses and hope to cement them in! I am at the bottom of the 160s and am looking forward to being in the 150s.

My house projects are moving forward. Feels like a snail's pace at the moment. I had not anticipated how much time it would take to lay the stone - in my head it seemed like it would lay a lot faster. As I watch the process, I can see why it is taking a long time. Hard not to be impatient!

I am gone from home today and most of next week so I am anticipating seeing a giant leap forward when I get back! Winter is around the corner and this job needs to be done before the weather turns cold!

Our scales show changes in weight that don't necessarily reflect our calorie intake over the short term, but the truth appears over time. Well done on the loss! Sounds like you're feeling better too. Enjoy your trip, 🌞

Thank you Shirfleur! I am feeling so much better and am looking forward to my trip! I leave in a couple of hours. This morning the scales rebounded a bit likely some poor choices I made Saturday evening coming to bite me! You are right it is the long term that matters - constantly making poor choices leads in one direction, occasional poor choices leads in another and crazy constant good choices leads in yet another direction! I am the occasional poor choice girl!
