I'm trying to resist being stressed. The Urgent Care where we planned to get the Rapid PCR Covid test did not receive the anticipated shipment of kits and aren't planning to. We did the conventional PCR test today that has to be sent out to the lab. Praying we get the results in time to cross the border. We're still leaving tomorrow to start our drive.

I took the time while Hubby was out running errands earlier to water plants....indoors & out...and rearrange a few to take advantage of any rain while we're away. That usually relaxes me & seemed to help my initial agitation upon getting the news our plan wasn't working out. It's not going to help being upset so I'm trying to let it go for now.

Just sat down for a snack. Now I'm going to refill a couple of the hummingbird feeders then work on packing. I also want give the gardens a refresher spritz of deer repellant...hoping it lasts til we get home.

Got a walk in yesterday...hoping for same today.

Safe travels and fingers crossed for results back in time to cross the border.

Oh dear that is frustrating. We have appointments to get our tests done and are just praying it works out to get the results by flight time. It is so frustrating...beong dependent on something like that which can utterly demolish plans. We have a backup that if we don't get the results in time we can get a rapid result test appointment at the airport. But hundreds and hundreds of dollars for the three of us... But better than missing our trip. I hope it all works out for you. Our girls are planning to run up to see family in BC and Alberta next month. One is flying there, so it will be the same stress...

Melissa, we figure if we don't get results in time we'll have to find a place close to the border to have it done. They don't accept the Rapid antigen tests that seem easier to get. I hope everything goes smoothly for your trip.

Don't we all wish Covid would just go away and let us get on with our lives!!

We are thankful that to fly where we are going, we only need a rapid test, but we have had trouble finding those for travel at a price that isn't crazy. Still looking. How wonderful it will be when life returns to some kind of normal. Hoping things go well for travel for both of us. ❤️
