I am letting go and trusting the process because I care how I feel. I am making friends with my food before I eat it. (Warning The content of this video could be as k8yk says, "Food Porn", but the message is valuable) ~ TOWANDA

"If you love something set it free, if it comes back to you it was yours, if it doesn't it was never meant to be" - This concept has been around for years but as I am applying it to food and especially to the so called bad food and loving it, I mean truly loving it, I am setting it free. This message and concept is Freeing from the shackles of bad food and a bad me, Wow!!!!! TOWANDA!!!!!!!!

I am so far away from being able to think this way! Does she have any evidence that this kind of relational kindness/way of thinking about your food when eating it, actually doesn't produce negative results within someone's daily intake? Wow! I wish I could be that free...I am literally drooling from some of the images of things I truly miss, but I have totally bought into the reality of my own experiences, that culminated in me weighing 205 lbs. I certainly don't want to go back there. I'm afraid I may never be friends with some of the foods available in this world - whether I 'want' them or not... for now, I will choose NOT! (while secretly wishing we could be best buds!) LOL!

Raven I was glad I gave the warning but am thankful you got the message and J.S. I don't think you are really too far from this idea. Good morning Lisa! I was completely free from counting calories while eating out for lunch. I ate everything I wanted and as much as I wanted till I was full. Not overly stuffed but full. I enjoyed every bite of it. I was surprised that total cal was not too much when I recorded food log later on. So it is good to be free once we're able to listen to our body. But it does require some good practice on listening to body though. Happy Sunday, Lisa:)

I believe the answer is YES!!! And have found that to be very true... Thats why I have busted the clean eating myth and just eat what I love!!! LOL. I don't see food as good or bad but just enjoyment and believe that all food is healthy for me even donuts!!! What a brilliant video. Thank you!!!

Going overboard is easy and is evident when you look around at people and their habits. This concept takes some real practice for sure but the concept is freeing to me. Nelson go to bed lol. TOWANDA!!!

Well the answer is yes, you can eat all theses things, and I am living proof. I eat everthing you see in that video (minus the meat) but I don't overeat it. Because I know I can have anything I want any time I want there's no reason to binge. And because I know that food can only satisfy stomach hunger, not emotional hunger, I don't eat when I am not hungry. To me there is a big difference between fake food like substances and rich dessert foods. If you ask me, a bowl of real ice cream with real chocolate is a better choice that a frozen diet meal and much more satisfying. But you have to stop eating when you are full. That's the way you can make this work. The video actually didn't make me salivate or anything - because none of those foods are forbidden to me. I had pear cider and chocolate last night, for example. When you take away the good and bad labels, food is just food. Everyone knows the lure of the forbidden is very strong.

Really interesting clip Lisa! the lady has a mesmerizing, soothing voice. Excellent background song - want to download it on my Ipod to my exercise playlist. Lol, the joy of coffee - doing it now. ;-) Totally agree about living with better impulses, having a longer view, listening to ONE signal, and not affecting our physical body. Must listen to it a few more times to really get all the ideas - brilliant. :) Hope you enjoy your freedom today my friend! :)

This reminds me, I need to go out and get my copy of "On Eating." I don't think I'm quite ready to trust myself around all those treats!

Living with my husband is challenging. I have been through the junk food trenches already. When I quit smoking cigarettes over 16 years ago Brian continued to smoke around me and didn't give me much of a break saying, "You need to learn to be around it and not let it effect you". I managed to stay tabacco free and he finally came around and quit a few years later. Around my home are all kind of temptations that he brings in and I assume has that same philosophy...Jeez lol... My marriage??? We are so much alike and so different... we definitely have a love/hate relationship for all of the 31 years of growing apart and together again. I've ignored my marriage for too long and indeed need to heal in this area or take another pathway. Digging deep right now, peeling down another layer, OUCH!!!!!!!.
