Twilightblue's Journal, 21 Feb 14

Trying not to be discouraged here, I know the spikes come and go with a great many variables at play. I am really not putting in the exercise effort I should be. I am making the minimum 3 workouts a week, but have not been adding anything to that yet. My motivation comes and goes, I have just had a lot on my mind. I thought about having a cheat day this weekend, but the scale has effectively changed my mind. Approximately 5 more weeks until I start training for this half marathon I want to run sometime this summer/fall and I was wanting to shed more weight before I start. The less pounds I have lugging around while I run the easier on my body. 5 weeks is not a lot of time and I want to make the most of it so I am going to try to make a big push to get as much off as possible between now and then. I wish everyone else a great week.
72.5 kg Lost so far: 3.1 kg.    Still to go: 9.0 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

We can do this. Let's make a pack. 5 weeks - 10 pounds. Whatever it takes. It's just 35 days, which means it's only 4-1/2 ounces a day. I need to lose 10 pounds between now and March 31st, also 5 weeks out so I have decided that for the next 5 weeks, I will do without dessert. No cookies, no cake or pies, no ice cream, nada. For 5 weeks we can do this. Just pick something (like dessert) and eliminate it for 5 weeks. I know you can do this.

I know a woman who won't drink alcohol from October to swim suit season or until she gets to her ideal weight. She calls it Sober October, although it lasts for several months.
