This is a temporary setback. Hang in there!

Just occurred to me … is it the heat that you aren’t sleeping? My son used to go out into our tent trailer (remember those? 😆) when it was too hot to sleep inside. Sometimes it was nearly as hot outside but he insisted he slept better out there. Are you set up to try something similar? Just a thought…

No its migraine, nerve damage has all sorts of side effects. The unsettled weather sometimes triggers it, like it is now.

I am still using the resistence belts. Not eating comfort foods today. Increased my hydration & fiber. Plan on a very veggie stirfry tonight. Hopefully this will get me a few points with the scale demons.

My daughter has a *lot* of migraines. Most of the time, nothing helps; she just has to wait it out. But once in a while … she is helped by a *very* strong cup of coffee (not decaf) and a chocolate bar. Not very sleep (or slimming) friendly, but she just doesn’t care if it’s bad enough, and if it helps.

The stimulants like coffee, cocoa etc can really help focus while the migraines around. Shes got the right idea. Do they know the cause?

I get weather-triggered migraines as well, I feel your pain (literally). I am “lucky” that I get auras, though- my vision goes like a kaleidoscope for about 20 minutes before the migraine really sets in, so if I can take meds in that window it’ll just be a bad headache, otherwise I’m down for the count. Laura- I agree, you’ll do pretty much anything to make it go away! lost- hope you find some relief soon!

She has very mild hydrocephaly. Not nearly enough to notice visually (you’d never know to look at her,) but it interferes quite a bit with her balance and memory, and she does get fierce headaches! She had surgery three years ago and that helped a bit; but it was no magic bullet, that’s for sure.

Her half-identical twin (yes, that is a thing!) doesn’t have it. Weird.

Thank you @ wgh! GM I googled hydrocephaly and read its symptoms. Albeit more severe then what I have many shared symptoms with vertigo & nerve damage. Ive had this for almost 7 years and it was maddening at first as it effects every single aspect of life severely. More recently have I just accepted this is how it is now. Give your daughter my best she has my respect as this is hard to cope with.
