I have been "nervous" eating - AGAIN. My annual mammogram turned into OH, we need to do an ultrasound.. OH, we need to do a needle biopsy.. OH, there was about $500-$600 my insurance didn't cover.
No more. The biopsy results was benign, but they want to remove that "dark area" just in case. It's day surgery, so probably about another grand out of my pocket. Well, this year it's all about me and my health and well being. I figure the more I say it, the more it will come to be.

Just so glad it was benign! I can understand the nervous eating. Who wouldn't be when it comes to your health? I know that seems oxymoronic, but I guess it's true.

Luckily the tumor is benign! Your health is the most important thing! Stress eating is normal in these circumstances. Stay strong and get well! You can go back to dieting, when you will be more relaxed!

I totally understand nervous eating. And I have the same thing going on right now - suspicious mammogram, and they can't find my old mammogram to refer to.

Thank you all so much for the support! Yes, I thank God every day this "spot" whatever it is, is not a tumor. They called it a complex sclerosing lesion. It's on the left side. That is where I USED to tuck my cell phone. Not anymore. I recently saw a news article that a young woman got breast cancer at age 21 and though not proven, they suspect cell phones carried next to your body give off cancer causing agents when they ring. Hey, if 4 cell phones pointed at 4 kernals of popcorn can make them pop, I am a believer. I'm struggling, but I feel I'm mentally prepared for this procedure AND the diet now. All bad food is in the trash and made my first step of faith by posting my morning weight on here today. God bless each of you! @nursemjb, hang in there, too! If you have to get a sonogram, I say it's well worth the time and money. I don't want anything in my body that is even remotely linked to cancer.
