Hmmm thinking about the weight situation this week. Fact is today I am one pound more than last week. Thursday morning I was one pound less than last week's weigh-in. Friday morning I didn't weigh myself (I was out of town and didn't bring my scale). Generally I am not too concerned because I purposely ate totally off plan yesterday and will be returning to 'normal' eating today. It is truly that the 'snapshot in time' is not conveniently placed this week!

My granddaughter sees the orthodontist once a month in a nearby city (only 250 km away or 155 miles). This time we chose to drive down the night before since her appointment was at 7:45 am!

My daughter, granddaughter and I take advantage of this trip by getting amazing East Indian food and have an indulgent spread. It is something we all look forward to as a special treat that we seldom have the opportunity to indulge in. On these East Indian food days, I eat my standard breakfast, enjoy the Indian food and then fast until the next morning. This time, in the COVID context, we had take out as restaurants are not open for indoor dining. We ate on the outside porch of a friend who made us a special homemade carrot cake that was particularly decadent with cream cheese icing with jam swirls. It was delicious! So my calorie count was beyond blown out! Do I have regrets? No. It was delicious and planned. Too bad it was the day before my weekly weigh in!

Our snow storm is like it never happened! The snow is melting and there are huge puddles all over my yard. The next few days are expected to be warm so the drying will continue.
79.4 kg Lost so far: 42.4 kg.    Still to go: 2.3 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.
