At 237 lbs on Jan 1/14, I began the New Year by reducing by half the amount of HRT I take. Since then, my appetite has reduced. I try to eat only 1 meal a day & that's supper. I am content with orange juice during the day, I don't want to eat. Night time has been my problem with eating for many years. I am trying to not eat while sitting watching TV. I bought some candies to suck on, sugarless gum or caffeine free diet pepsi with a wedge of lime. I am hoping to turn my eating habits around, so that I don't eat after supper & then I may form the habit of eating during the day.
I am always trying to work on my chocolate addiction, which seems to have lessened in the past year. I no longer eat 8-12 full size chocolate bars in one sitting. I try to not buy them anymore & choose to not shop in that aisle in the grocery store or Walmart.
I have been having sweating issues during the night, but hope to reduce that happening by reducing the refined carbs that I eat.
Two months ago, my doctor found that I have extremely high blood pressure & that my heart is beating much too fast. This was never a problem for me in the past. A month ago, I saw a heart specialist who doesn't want to add to my drug regimen that I am currently on. He feels that it is the 100lbs of extra weight that my heart is carrying that is the cause. I ordered a Elliptical machine yesterday & I am hoping that I will use it. I know it will be easier on my joints than the treadmill we already own. I owe it to my heart to try harder to lose weight.
104.9 kg Lost so far: 0 kg.    Still to go: 43.6 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.
Losing 0.6 kg a Week

Hello Obsessive Chocaholic! I've noticed that you drink fruit juice when I took a glance at your journal. If you eat fruits instead, the fiber in them not only will make you feel fuller but it will also prevent you from absorbing most of its sugar, besides that a glass of fruit juice usually holds lots of pieces of fruit ;) I always say this to anyone who drinks fruit juice! :) Good luck on your quest!

Hi Euheide, I do realise that the whole fruit is better for me, but I have never been a fruit eater, except for bananas. Although periodically I will make smoothies for myself, I don't really enjoy them, so I don't stick with making smoothies for very long. I do enjoy my orange juice, it's unsweetened, so there's no added sugar. And I feel that drinking my orange juice, is a whole lot better than some other things that I could eat/drink. But I do appreciate your comments & the good luck!! Thanks so much.

That is definitely true! It's still better than most other drinks out there. And without sugar that problem definitely doesn't present itself :). Thank you very much for your answer!
