Twilightblue's Journal, 03 Jan 14

Well it could have been worse, I could have weighed more than last week. It still felt a little bit like a punch in the gut though. I know better than to expect a loss every week, and I know that different factors can cause weight to fluctuate from week to week. It just feels like next week is soooo far away to see if any new progress has been made. To make things more complicated, on Saturday we leave for a road trip and won't be back until Friday next week. Somehow I have to manage my diet and exercise the best I can and keep my fingers crossed that the whole week won't be a loss. I won't give up so nothing to do now but wait and hope for better weeks to follow. On the positive side, I feel great and even though the scale is not registering a change I feel like I am getting more fit.

Remember just because you don't see the progress, doesn't mean it's not happening. You can lose fat in strange places and don't even notice, lol. You are off to a great start. Look up places and some food choices before you go on your trip. I think there is an app that also has health road trip choices. You can pack a cooler with some healthy snacks and bring water for the trip. Sometimes I will bring a workout dvd and some light hand weights when I travel (with my laptop), so I can workout if the weather sucks and can't get out for a walk or run. The scale is only one way to measure weight loss success. How we look and feel is another. Stick with it! You can do this!
