I am really struggling. My Honey and I arent allowed to go anywhere together anymore because someone always has to be here with the kids. I stopped leaving the house. I had anxiety in the "before times" and now it's straight up agoraphobia. I dont think I got up from my office chair more than 3 times yesterday. My neck hurts and my hips hurt. I feel like I can't push through the pain, depression and anxiety move my body. I made a brave and vulnerable move by texting a work friend to ask if she wanted to walk/run/hike with me. Feel free to offer advice. I'm feeling very stuck.

So sorry you're struggling. I can relate to not getting out of my chair more than a couple of times a day (usually to go to the bathroom or get something to eat). I don't really have a problem going to the grocery store, because I don't really have to interact with anyone. I get a lot of anxiety about going to church, even though we have a very small church and all of the members are our friends. GREAT JOB on asking your friend if she wants to walk!!! I hope you'll get a positive response. Do you take any medications for your depression and anxiety? I do, and I can't function without them.

If your depression is lasting please see a doctor. Depression and anxiety are life altering but they don’t have to be. Medication can help drastically! Prayers and best wishes.

Honey, I have been there too. And still am, in a lighter way. Try just going into the backyard, or onto the deck a few times a day. Breathe deep. If it goes on for a very long time, consider a doctor. Antidepressants were a very good fit for me, they may be for you too.

Thanks everyone. I have a mental health provider. Natasha, I don't have a yard or a deck.
