I don't get it. I know that I am not perfect. I made an excellent biscotti recipe I found on YouTube ("ketoserts" if you want to look up the channel, I think there is a ketoserts Instagram page as well), and it is great with coffee in the evenings. Aside from the toppings of a couple of slices of pizza (delivery from my friend), I have been eating the same things. I even skipped lunch (my usual ground beef) yesterday because it was a busy day at work. Considering all this, I should have at least maintained! This is a bit annoying.

TMI, but maybe it is due to my constipation problem I have been experiencing since a couple of days. I drink at least 3 large glasses of water (about 1.5 l or 24 oz.) as a minimum, then coffee, so close to 2 l or 32 oz. So maybe I don't drink enough, but more than this and I would feel really bloated.

Maybe it is the gum I have been chewing! It doesn't seem to work as well as a laxative and it bloats me when I chew too much of it, but it is slowing getting addictive. I also have lots of gum because I ordered many packs from Amazon. And these little pieces have 2 or 3 calories each, but I don't think they can have that much of an impact on weight, unless I chew a whole pack of 60!

At least my blood pressure is so far, so good.

It is also sunny, for now. I have to go visit my mother today and help her with groceries and I'll have to go earlier than usual so that I can avoid a curfew fine when I come back home!

moufette, do u eat a lot of fiber? I am 67,female,on low carb diet. always had constipation problem.. reading up on daily requirements for women(guide on mayo clinic.org) over 51-guide says 21 grams fiber daily. chia seeds help, plus beans...research it.possibly it may help.

During Christmas, I made several keto desserts. It turns out my body didn't like the amounts of sugar alcohols in the sugar substitutes. In addition to my sugars going up, I felt bloated and I stalled. It could be that. It also could be fiber issue. Currently that's what I'm having to work on.

@Lamapa, yep. I have IBS, but usually it's IBS-d. Lately, it's switched to IBS-c. I've had to start taking Metamucil to avoid very painful bathroom breaks. I'd gladly go back to the "flushing" I used to have.

Add fiber. There are a lot of choices on the market and you canmix it in your tea, your water, Yogurt or cottage cheese. Many are flavorless, others are sweetened for a drink If you make keto breads you can even add it to the recipes making it a high fiber, good to eat treat. If your body is not used to fiber add a little bit each week. 1 teas a day, then two teas the next week until you get the maximum suggested for the day or what your body likes. Gum willl not cause loss or gain, but it sure makes people look like a cow, really. Last hint. Congratualtions on all of the water you are drinking. Really good job, but did you know you are needing more? For every cup of coffee you drink, you need to drink 2 cups of water. It is true. Best of luck. You can do it.

Add prunes and pears :) Have you also been working out? It could be muscular gain as well as constipation.
