An almost 2-pound gain! I am pretty sure that I decreased my snacking this week. So either I increased my average daily calories (all macros), or I ate more foods with hidden carbs. Maybe it was in the takeout chicken wings? Or maybe that cole slaw again! At least I got to buy some freshly cut cole slaw style salad at the grocery store, so I will make my own and hold the carbs. I know I should track and weigh my food, but whenever I do this I end up being sick and tired of doing this and I drop it, or go back to eating lots of sugar and other carbs like I have done before.

As I often suspect, there seems to be an inverse relation between my weight and my blood pressure (BP), because this week my BP has never been lower! All below 120/75 (my highest was 116/73) and I even had a morning with a systolic below 100! When my weight is lower, I tend to have higher BP for some reason. Normal people have a direct relation between their weight and BP.

Unless it is just a coincidence in my case. When I was losing weight using an Ideal Protein-like protocol back in 2015 (40 grams of net carbs a day, but I had to eat 6 times a day and weigh my food, many "fake" foods in a box with sucralose), my systolic BP went up in the 160s, so I had to take an extra med, but then again I was taking only one med, which did not help. When my weight increased to around 180 lbs back in 2017, my systolic BP at the doctor's office was about 130, which never happens at a doctor's office (it usually is in the 150s and 160s).

In the meantime, I just finished drinking my morning keto coffee -- my breakfast every other morning. It is not as calorie-laden as I thought (about 200 to 235 calories, the highest-calorie ingredient being the 1 tbsp of MCT oil) and it keeps me satiated for many hours.

And it is sunny outside, finally! Such a grey-sky winter so far, so any sun is welcome, even if it is cold! I will certainly go outside before the sun sets! Have a great weekend everyone!

Happy weekend. Glad to hear about your sunshine. Hope you got a walk in. I think if it is a trend upward you have to check it and stop it. I am very intent on not going 5 lbs over my goal weight.
