Fiberoptic's Journal, 30 Dec 20

Well I won my bet with my quit smoking group. I found quitting smoking easy and eating is not an addiction but something we face everyday. So I challenged myself to show them it is all in the mindset...the desire. We CAN do what we CHOOSE to do! Wanting to do it makes it easier. I still eat well and don't feel at all hungry. Food choice also make a difference. I am excited about losing the 30 plus pounds since my stroke and enjoy the simple things in life. My daughter also quit smoking as did my hubby and he is also benefiting from living the healthier lifestyle. We plan on enjoying our golden years!

Congratulations on quitting smoking. I believe it is truly more unhealthy than obesity, in my opinion, since I lost a parent to smoking.

Congratulations on quitting smoking and staying quit. I can attest as an ex smoker that it was the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life was to quit. Hands down. And to tackle it and diet and exercise is tough, so I definitely applaud you and you should be proud. I smoked for nearly 30 years. At my peak I was 2 packs a day. Always told my wife I was the most physically fit smoker she ever saw. :)
