Started today with 1 TBS of coconut oil in my coffee. I plan to increase this to two in the future but I wanted to make sure my stomach agrees with it first.

Last night my keto strip was not as dark as the day before. This morning it was even lighter. Seems something kicked me out of ketosis which is confusing because my macros look good for the past two days. I havent cheated at all. I even gave up drinking for the week.

I have coconut oil at home, but can't figure out what to do with it. I tried it in my coffee ... yuck. I even made mayo out of it ... but it made my tuna salad taste ... yuck. I just bought some MCT oil. It is apparently tasteless. Hopefully, I'll be able to add it to stuff without it tasting ... yuck. :)

I'm kind of in the same situation. I've been taking it with my coffee, and while it does not have a strong taste, the oil texture is strange but I think I can get use to it, mainly because I know it so good for me.

I'm hoping the "tastelessness" of the MCT oil will let me to do following with it: http://intoxicatedonlife.com/2012/05/08/creamy-balsamic-vinaigrette-recipe/ http://intoxicatedonlife.com/2012/04/26/healthy-homemade-mayonnaise/ And not have to just grin-and-bear the coconut flavor. I'll let you know how it turns out.

I have to admint, I have actually grown quite fond of the coconut oil. Once I started really digging into the jar the coconut aroma really shines though. To me it smells like mounds candy without the sweet taste. I am really enjoying it and I am up to 2 TBS in the morning with no issues.

So ... I got the MCT oil a couple days ago. It is nearly tasteless. I added it to my mayo, stirred it up, and didn't notice it was in there. Today, I've taken a couple spoonfuls straight. I don't even need to wash it down. It's just fine as is. I want to build up slowly, so I did a teaspoon Wednesday, and did two teaspoons today. No adverse effects. I have the Now Foods MCT oil. I got it on iHerb.com, where I get all my supplements.

Thanks for getting back to me jg. So the MTC is not bad?? Cool! I may have to get it for my girlfriend, she is not all that fond of the coconut oil at. I'll have to look at the iherb site. What suppliments are you taking fromt them? Right now I take: Men's One a Day multi-vit 150mg Coenzyme Q-10 600mg Alpha Lipoic Acid 540mg Omega-3 Im still looking for potassium citrate suppliments because I want to take those for my kidneys.
