My yearly weigh in/check with my doctor has passed beyond and further, and at 76,5kg am now 1,5kg over my original goal. I am still considered " an incredible success" by medical standards which imply a maintenance of 10% loss in excess weight for a period of 5 years.

Did you know in the medical world they don't look beyond 5 years? Because the outcome is terrible, and by 10 years, they expect even a gain on top of the original weight!

I used to think being 65kg was ideal. My huisarts even said to me once 58kg would be right for me, hahahaha that was a laughable suggestion as I would never be 58 kg and look healthy, and especially not without surgery to get there, to remove 5-10kg of excess skin? No thank you, I like my body just fine as it is. I could have punched him in the balls, but usually I charge money to do that to men.

And When my weightloss had stabilized in the 70-75kg range I was quite content and shifted my focus instead to weightlifting and sport, and got down to 69-72kg with very fanatic sport which, when anyone understands the mental toll that takes (I know there are plenty of people here with disorderd mindset about their bodies and food and diets in general, and some as well who like me spent time in eating disorder clinics, or who probably would benefit from it)

During the period of dec 2019- now I stopped working, started to study and had a lockdown (again started working in sept, only from home this time) I am like most people and gained 4 kgs with less incidental and daily movement which is a normal fluctuation to a circumstance, and will tend to stabilize itself in time.

Many people respond to a few kgs weight gain with fear, strict dieting and restriction, and I can understand the appeal of that.

I was 145kg! I know how painful it is, physically, mentally, emotionally -- however, having achieved 145kg by restrictive-reactive dieting practices, I know the wrong way to react to a situation will have a worse outcome :)
