I’m eating mostly Keto with only a few indiscretions over the past 6weeks. My weight is coming off at a reasonable rate although sometimes I think it’s too fast. I fear it won’t stay off if I go at this too quickly. But my clothes feel looser and my cravings are not as strong. I hope to improve my overall health and I believe I’m on the right track to do so. Recording everything I eat helps a lot.

My first round of Keto 4 years ago, I was losing about 10lbs a month. It was insane, but awesome. When I turned to carbs during emotional eating, I gained some of it back. I now know I can't eat carbs, not even during stress. This round is slow... very slow, like a pound a week slow. But it's my body's way of saying "you buggered up, I need time to reset". The rate isn't the issue... the carbs sneaking back in (or in my case taking over) is the problem. When you are happy with your weight loss (or health gains), if you bring back carbs, do it S-L-O-W-L-Y. That way you can monitor where your "gain" macro is and remain below it.

Thanks. That’s encouraging. Some days in spite of careful low carb, I feel I’m stuck. My weight has recently been hovering around the same range for days, even weeks. Years ago I sat at this weight for a long time and it’s as though my body remembers and wants to stay there. I think I’m going to have to reduce calories too, not just carbs even though my calories have been averaging only around 1200.

I totally agree , ur body has become so sensitive to these carbs, just u start eating them a little and ur weight is up a lot, this time I am going to include carbs but want to make my body eat less and need less and recognise " hey, I am full, I do not need this amount"

Thanks for all the encouragement. Carbs are the worst. I’ve known this a long time but they sure know how to stick around.
