Yuck! One more 0.4 pound gain. This is especially rotten because yesterday morning I was 1.4 pounds less. Was this a surprise? Not really I ate quite a bit yesterday and sure enough the weight jumped up.

Had a really lovely time travelling with my grandkids on a road trip. We had some nice quality time together. I had gained weight from the trip - lost the gain - then ate lots last night and in the space of an hour threw a monkey wrench into the weigh in world! Point being I can't blame the trip for the gain.

Right now I have two fellows cutting concrete to get 3 new windows into my basement. So far they have two window holes totally done. Today they hope to get the last one done. They assure me that as the temperature is dipping down they will ensure that my home is 'all buttoned up' before they take a day off. Right now it is -10C or 14F so winter is starting to rear its head. I had the standard windows from the mid 1960s so these new ones are big, bright and beautiful in comparison and most importantly safe! The noise of the two concrete saws going is something else but I have my eye on the prize and am just working around it.

Yesterday I started assembling my square foot garden in anticipation of next year. The woodchuck home was dug up and a piece of tin was inserted to discourage rebuilding. My square foot garden box was placed on top and against my south house wall. I layered in cardboard, twigs, branches and well rotted wood chips from over by my granary. For the record I carried 30 5-gallon pails of this rotted wood chips about 200 yards to the garden. Shoulders are a bit sore but not bad. Left to do is to put a nice layer of soil on top!
84.2 kg Lost so far: 37.6 kg.    Still to go: 7.1 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.
