I went in to town to the library & Walmart to pick up a couple of things. I swung by Hone Depot to look at their mums. I'm still on the fence about buying any this year. I already have some in my yard that I planted previous years that returned. There are already pansies out so I may just skip to a couple of them. I usually only put them on my front porch cause the deer find them very tasty. I don't like to expend energy trying to keep them away during the cold weather.

I looked at cookies at Walmart but didn't buy them either. The only temptation I gave into was some cheesy breadsticks. They're only 90 calories each. I hadn't thought of it yet but I just realized they'll be a nice addition to the corn chowder I plan to make this weekend. I bought a mix at one of the markets in Wisconsin. I needed some cream to make it so that was on my list today.

I'm trying to be careful calorie wise for the next few days. I'm getting pretty close to my goal weight (I've been under for awhile) & I want to get some of my cushion back. I did have Hubby's favorite breakfast pizza for breakfast this morning but just a sliver. He got the bigger portion. That & my fresh fruit was satisfying anyway. Lunch was half a honey crisp apple and some Greek yogurt. Dinner is going to be salmon & veggies. Just need to watch the wine portion & dessert choice & I'm good 👍 🙂

It's supposed to get down into the high 30's tonight. Good sleeping but I'm not sure I'm ready yet. I dread when it stays cold & we're cooped up in the house. I

I just took the dogs out and there was a deer standing behind the garden on the path. The dogs didn't even notice her so she stood there & watched is. When I turned to take the dogs in she sauntered off. 😀🦌🦮🐕‍🦺

You are so good at controlling yourself! I didn't buy any mums either and don't think I will. I need to run to the hardware store and pick up a couple things. I think I am going to paint the dining room Deep Space by Benjamin Moore. It has darker trim but I googled other pics of it and I liked it a lot. It is currently a boring beige and has been for 12+ years. Excited to see it done- not excited for the process.

Princess! Painting? We shall have to see the result! Sherry, we had a doe and two mature fawns in the yard yesterday. They are so pretty and they didn't eat any roses even though my sprinkler is now turned off for the season. I figure they can nibble if they want. Nothing is very fresh or interesting anymore. The flowers are still trying to bloom, but with the colder weather and miserable rain, everything is slowly dying.
