Sometimes you can plateau for no reason. Stay the course, you’ve got this.

I don't want to offer unsolicited advice but I'm just going to say that 2 days of not eating well (depending on how "not well") is all it takes to keep you spinning your wheels. Count every calories. Keep your diet log accurate and that way you can see what your daily average is and make sure it is on point. I chowed down on the 17th and I am still paying the price for it- trying to keep myself in check for the remainder of the month to have a loss. That being said- sometimes the scale gets stuck even when you are eating in a deficit- if that's the case- You'll see a drop soon because science- You can not eat less than you burn and not have a loss. Stick with it!!! No matter what!!!

Thanks Rae🐥 And thanks dp 😩 honestly I didn’t even eat horrible yesterday but I had a funeral and emotions plus going to the family’s house afterwards to eat and it wasn’t the time to say oh there’s nothing healthy here I can eat but I ate small tiny scoop of several items and convinced myself I had done horrible which led to me guilt eating today and I did for sure blow it today just mindless endless munching . It’s the same old cycle that keeps me at my plateau and depressed and feeling like a loser who can’t even lose ten pounds when everyone else has amazing 50 bland more losses . I just feel like wow you are lazy and can’t commit at all. I just want to change it but old habits die hard

Absolutely what DP said! And, the scale is not everything - use a tape measure and your clothes to know if you are actually losing

You aren't lazy at all. Any loss takes a lot of commitment and I truly truly love to eat and i enjoy overeating but that is why I track it because I need to get back on it and remain in control and know at all times what my caloric average is- If I don't- It is WAY easier for me to remember the 21 days of the month I ate very well and forget the ones where I overate or allow myself to downplay it because I didn't track it. You absolutely can lose weight and you absolutely can enjoy every bite you eat. Just count it! You can do it!

You are right that makes sense , I probably believe in my mind I’ve done so great but don’t see on paper just how many days I went over .

Sometimes your body firms up some bits...I don’t measure, but my upper arms are smaller.. even if the scale hardly budged like I want it too..so sometimes just know you are doing it right, and it will come! Don’t give up, you got this!!

I've had the same situation after last weekend, a 0.6lb loss after a first healthy weekend of exercise and salads, plus a week of 4 workouts prior... Take this as a good thing - you are maintaining your weight and at least not gaining. Plus, like others said, muscle weighs more than fat, and can contribute to the weight. Celebrate being able to keep it down!

I've learned recently that even though the scale doesn't change it doesn't mean nothing is happening. When I feel like you are I try to mix things up a bit to trick my body. Do a different kind of exercise or add a bit more intensity or duration. I also check my macros. Especially protein. And a good night's sleep always seems to be important. If I don't get good sleep I know the scale isn't likely to show a loss. it's so weird but there is something to that! Just don't give up. Try making small adjustments until you find what works for you. Also just remember it's perfectly normal to see ups and downs and plateaus. So if you don't give up, it will happen!

I just saw that you attended a funeral. I am truly sorry for your loss. Don't be too hard on yourself.

Don’t give up. Drink more water. Check the balance of foods you ate. Maybe try to repeat what you did the day before your losses.

Keep pushing and don’t always look for scale changes you can always accomplish non scale victories without the scale moving. Always remember muscle weighs more than fat. You got this

Hey, girl! I hope you are doing ok. If this was easy.... I only wish it was... Hang in there. Remember that stress and sadness really makes this extra hard. Sounds like you have had some lately. One step at a time! ❤️🤗
