OK FSF, I am officially in a rut. I'm feel like the scale has not budged in forever (I know a couple of weeks is not really that long, it just feels that way). So I've been thinking that I need to mix it up a bit.

One of the main benefits of keto is reduced hunger and a natural curbing of calories over time, without having to actually count calories. Sometimes I find myself eating when I'm not actually hungry because I still have calories left in the day and didn't reach my 80g protein goal. I've also been using IF and find myself eating only because my window of eating is almost up and "what if I get hungry later".

So for the next 7 days I am not going to track my calories or what time is on the clock for eating. The keto and the IF have done a great job of training me not to snack mindlessly and what it feels like to eat when hungry and stop when I've had enough. Tracking calories sometimes makes me overeat because I feel full but I've already tracked it so I better finish it.

I'm challenging myself to be more mindful of what my body says it needs and less conscious of meeting a number for this or that. 7 days. Let's see what happens!

It will be interesting to see how often you feel hungry.

I feel you about eating to meet protein goal. I have found myself doing that on “lucky” days when I don’t have much appetite. I am thinking about trying to shift more of my protein allotment to earlier in the day so I don’t feel that pressure later.
