59Carol's Journal, 12 Sep 20

Good morning this crisp fall morning! I am pleased to report that I have lost 1.2 pounds this week. This is the first time I have 'broke' the over one pound mark in three weeks so this feels good and it is my third straight week of losing something so, as we all know, that is good news! I am continuing to follow the mostly plant based whole food plan which seems to be giving me steady slow weight loss. This week I averaged 1225 calories a day. I had been aiming at under 1210 calories daily previous to changing my eating plan so getting to eat a bit over and losing is a real bonus.

I am so not good at selling items. I have quite a few things that I want to sell but don't have the promoting skills to get it done. I contacted a friend who is really into doing this sort of thing. I am paying her a commission and set her loose. In less than a week she has sold $600 worth of things and has another $200 worth of stuff moving in the next few days. I am so glad I thought to hire out this job or I would be still storing the stuff!

I have been removing barn board from my old well house. Interesting job as it is all ship-lap. I am getting faster at it but right now it is 7 boards off in an hour. My hammer skills are improving. I want to see if I can use this wood in a bed frame that I have in mind. It gets me outside in the fall weather and I am using my muscles so it is all good.

Great job Carol, and smart move on selling items. I'm the world's worst and usually end up just donating to The Salvation Army because they do pickup.

Good morning and sounds like you are really busy. Make a bed frame sounds good. Farming out selling is great idea. My husband always wanted to have yard sales(before virus)but I dont even like to go to them. Good luck 😷🤗

Thanks Carol and Shirfleur. I felt like I was a genius for farming out the selling. The lady's husband is coming out this afternoon to pick up a bunch of it so she can sell it in Peace River. A number of people were interested but didn't want to make the half hour drive out here. I am truly relieved to not have to do this job. The bed frame idea will be actually done by a fellow who has been doing a lot of work for me but I can at least get the boards! I don't go to garage sales either, Carol, as I was constantly trying to keep stuff out of my house and not buy more!
