Lisa Online's Journal, 28 Nov 10

NN, Barbara must have blinked. Today is my last day of vacation. Looking forward I will have some precious time working alone as my boss will travel for a week or two starting the 5th of December. The week before Christmas I also have a week off from work. December should be a fast paced enjoyable month.

What wonderful rest, rejuvenation, and recharging I was able to do this past week. I was able to take care of some business, get some work done around the house and enjoy the company of family and friends. Mary and I went to the movie theater last Tuesday and saw the new "Harry Potter", which deals with forces of good and evil and is one of my favorite subjects:) Mary and I have been practicing her lines for a murder mystery dinner her drama toupe is putting on this coming Friday and Saturday night. She will play Miss Goddard Da Vida in the "Magical Mystery Tour". I have agreed to loan all of my tie died and Beatle shirts to the production so I now have them ready and waiting on hangers. The gym membership has been handled. I wrote a letter along with a money order to terminate my month to month contract so to avoid any problems which I have seen other gym members experience with the new management. I joined 24 hour fitness and am paying 17 less per month! The equipment is so nice and smooth, lots of options, a lap pool that is heated etc. I think I died and went to gym heaven.

Lot's to get ready to prepare for the busy month ahead so with that said, I will focus writing my annual Christmas letter and prepare to send out greetings to those whom I don't see often but want to stay in touch with.

As we move toward a New Year may we remember we are on a Live-it and not a Diet! Reaching a new number like I did yesterday is rewarding but feeling good and energized, having more good days then bad is what I am really after because I am worth the effort and so are you. Going for the Green and soon to be dancing on the blue line. TOWANDA!!!!!

I found some inspiration for my new years resolution. So much for starting my Christmas letter on this day lol.

Your Wellspring of Energy
A Stress-Free Home

No matter where you live or what type of home you live in, taking care of your dwelling is also caring for your soul.

Sometimes our lives are so busy that we treat our homes as if they were impersonal places that we merely pass through. But we can make certain that our homes truly feel like our sanctuaries by taking the time to tend to them like gardens, which need care in order to offer us the beauty of their blooms. When we take the time to treat our homes like beloved treasures, we can shift their energy from being merely places to being wellsprings for the replenishment of our energy.

Consider that homes are the outer reflections of those who live within. If we feel that the current appearance clashes with how we'd like to see ourselves, it can keep us from fully allowing our light to shine. Updating our homes to reflect our inner landscape need not involve massive redecorating or a large outlay of money. Small things can make a big difference, like simply moving items so that we constantly gaze upon the things we love the most, liberating the treasures we've hidden in our closets, using our best dishes and making small repairs. Organizing and cleaning is a no-cost way to remove chaos from our homes and introduce more calm. Lovingly rejuvenating our personal space can become a creative project that increases the flow of good throughout all aspects of our lives and increases our feeling of connection. We can give old things new life by donating them to charity, opening space for newness to enter. Removing stress from our homes can be as simple as putting o! ur bills into pretty boxes and choosing a specific time to deal with them, or removing clutter so that we and our energy can move freely throughout our space.

Simplifying our space lets our imagination and energy roam free. We can choose to prioritize our homes, making them the true heart of our family's activities. Then we are free to focus on what really matters葉time to ourselves, to share with loved ones, and to replenish our energy so that we have more to share with each other and with the world.

Hi Lisa, glad to hear you enjoyed your Thanksgiving time off. Yes, I blinked. Damn! LOL ~ enjoyed the time off enormously. I picked up a couple pounds which I expected, but I am intending to shake it off quickly. I met goal and that is not going to be lost. I had no time to journal this weekend, but just wanted to stop and say hi to you. I am back on that horse and intend to keep riding.......

Exciting journal and times ahead of you Lisa! I love when my boss and general manager are not in branch LOL I am all about the live it and not die-it... Many people fret over pounds, grams and body shape etc. But the truth is we create our own-selves, lives and environments and when our environments are in such a way that you fear gaining weight, or not fitting into clothes or even fear of family gatherings because of food... you got some real deep issues to deal with before you change your lifestyle, lose weight and keep it off for life! The months of November through January are months that I really don't focus on weight too much but I do try and keep it not too far from my maintenance of 170-180 pounds. I do believe that physical activity is much more important in these times because when the body is moving its happy and will release the energy freely. Feeling relaxed and enjoying the holidays involves food, company and shopping all of which are social food gatherings... RELAX AND ENJOY!!! Ok I am bit hyper today but the more you know me the more you know why LOL. LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST and everything will fall into place including your weight!

Weeks without boss are the best... I am hoping some of my superiors will remain on vacation for a few more days myself! Sounds like you had a great holiday.
