Lisa Online's Journal, 04 Nov 10

My main goal is to generate a high energy level each and every day by exercise, eating good food, and surrounding myself with positive people. I am thinking about all the postive changes I have made since January 2010. This post I repeat and kept adding to as thoughts came up:

I Lisa online (LOL) Record daily food and a personal journal to keep honest about what I eat and how I am feeling even though it is hard some days. I record my weight daily and understand there are flucking fluctuations, I am accountable!

I Eat mainly healthy food and have eliminated a lot of junk (empty calories) and stopped overeating. I am respecting, appreciating and enjoying food, keeping my calories between 1200 and 1500 per day and realizing it's not deprivation it is enough to keep me satisfied.

I Exercise 4 to 7 days per week and enjoying it because it generates energy. I get my dancing from the Stair Master "I call it dancing with the stairs", I get my singing and breathing in with my MP3 player, even though I say the words silently as I work out. I am able to breathe deeply and enjoy the music! I love to sweat and then take a refreshing shower afterwards. Swimming with my 11 year old daughter gives us special time together and builds muscle groups and creates wonderful memories. Running with the 1st through 6th graders in the morning is so much fun and I realize how blessed I am not having to start my working day until 10:30am which affords the time to do this. Working out to a D.V.D. starring and created by my H.S. friend Rodney Carson who is a retired Marine is a great tool. "Drop and give me 20" gives me a workout for my body's overall isolated muscle strength that I can build at my own pace because when I need a drill sergent I just press play! Walking in the rain with my husband has been traditional since I met him 30 years ago and is a nice way to spend the season of rain, holding hands with the man I love.

I've Built a strong support group with inspirational fun people.(thank you everyone for your friendship and valued time ) My writing and social needs are being met by joining F.S. This tool is developing day by day and I am at awe at how important it is to have such a unity. I meditate and pray everyday!

Lost 40 pounds and 6 dress sizes going from a size 16/18 to 10/12. I wore a nice little black dress to my 30th Highschool Reunion!

I get out of bed and the bathtub a lot easier now, and can feel strong muscle groups to manuever around. I can balance on one foot with ease. I sleep well.

My attitude and mind has gone from stinking thinking to a better postive outlook. I have more good days then bad!

I am doing and trying more things such as horse back riding, quad driving,Zumba classes, push ups, volunteer activities, etc. My writing, dancing, singing skills are not outstanding but I am okay with that. I enjoy finding treasures of inspiration in other people's writing. I am going to seek out things I love and do it! I am a dork and am happy because of this freedom of expression.

As of January 2010 my doctor said I was officially into menopause. I embrace my womanhood but enough was enough. Perhaps I am one of the lucky ones but so far so Marvelous. I served my time and it is so liberating not to have those monthly annoyance times anymore! Since I took of weight my bladdar hasn't felt the "Urgency needs" that used to. (This was a surprise to me) My posture is getting stronger and straighter. I have more self confidence!

I have lost on average one pound per week and if I keep up the momentum will reach my goal weight sometime early in the year 2011 and look forward to continuing on and maintaining which will be something I haven't successfully done before but with inspirational maintaining buddies I know it can and will be done!

TOWANDA is attitude. Learn what is required to feel good about oneself. You and I are worth the effort! Loving and taking care of ones self by stepping outside of guilt, coming from your power, not your weakness, accepting yourself as you are right now, and not taking oneself so seriously. Did you ever see "Fried Green Tomatoes"? Something about the Kathy Bates character strikes a chord with me especially at this exact time in my life. I feel the word gives me some kind of Power. YouTube has a few videos that come up when you type the word Towanda. Pick one of the longer running Towanda clips and play it as it will give you a better understanding To my Buddies and all other Foodies out there; We are doing it and will reach our goals and maintain. TOWANDA!!!

Good grief, I still have not found time to read your journals and I LOVE them. I promise, tonight!! :-) Thank you Lisa for stopping by mine. I figured, why lie, I ate the candy crap, so I should take the crap I get. I know better, I knew it at the time and I messed up. BUT, not today! Today I am a rabbit ~ LOL. That's what I get. Have a great day Lisa and by the way, where is Carla?

I read your response in my journal. You are too funny! But it's true. When I eat crap, I get crap ~ LOL LOL LOL - Why, why, why does this happen. When I want to show a loss, I have not "done anything" for 2 days. When I eat bad, hey, twice a day! OK TMI I know. Later..

Lisa, I am worried about Lotus. This is what was on a forum "What do you love about your life" - .....Nothing...other than being a junior surgeon and having moderate economic independance. We have to help her somehow. I have written her but I a still worried. ???
