Truly hate logging in a gain - one pound up. No mystery in that the calories were 15 calories per day above the window. Four days of above the window with two of the days quite high. I basically hit the calories hard at the end of the day. I keep working at that time period with mixed success. Also when I find myself in town at lunch time can be a mine field. When I pack a lunch it is the best plan. Have a plan for this week. I will see how it went come next Saturday.

This week we have been getting quite a bit of rain so the yard is fairly wet. In between the rain the two fellows I hired have been getting a bunch of work done on my outbuildings and yesterday they built me a deck off my living room. It is so satisfying seeing all of these jobs just getting done! I have very specific plans for what I want done by the end of August!

Thank you Shirfleur. I have been hovering around this same weight for many many weeks. I would like to just get going again! I am looking forwards to enjoying the deck however it has been nothing but rain. Soon though...

Melissatwa I am trying to be thoughtful about my journey. The writing is a time of reflection for me and the fact that it is public is helps me be accountable. I try to log other aspects of my life because we are all so much more than the weight piece. It is important to remind myself that I have a whole life and the food that I eat is only a part of the bigger picture. When the rain stops I plan to hang out on the deck as much as possible. It is on the south side so lots of sunshine!

I love what you said about needing to remember about having a whole life.

I agree, sessy! Exactly, Carol! It really is a good thing to remember that we are balancing life, and our focus has to be spread out to all the aspects that fill our world.

After I retired and shortly after my husband died I was at loose ends. I needed to re-imagine my life as everything was fundamentally different. I had already begun the weight loss journey but what about the rest of my time? So I literally went on the internet and looked up the determints of good health and a balanced life. I found 8 that made sense to me. I have annual goals in each one of those aspects that I work on monthly. At the end of each month I evaluate where I am at for each of these aspects. Come August it will have been a full year of doing so. I have found that to be very freeing! I feel that I am living the life I want to be living and doing the things I want to be doing.
