Lisa Online's Journal, 30 Sep 10

Thriving Thursday, let's give it a good try at least. I have a pretty easy day, lunch with my employer at B.J.'s and some friends, and an appointment with the Optomologist to find out about the closed angle glaucoma. I was recently diagnosed with from my optometrist and it concerns me because my Grandmother on my Fathers side went blind from this disease at the age of 50. Modern medicine has come along way and from what I understand there is a simple laser surgery treament that can open up the blockage in my eyes and will help me see for many years to come.

I just realized my high school renuion is next week and my weight has been in the upward side of the fluctuation. My goal is to bring it down by next Friday just because I am worth the effort lol. I guess that is why they call it the battle of the buldge lol. This is why I am so happy we have each other to rally each other back to the mind-set that incorporates lots of healthy habits. F.S. is my biggest gun! This week starting today I am going to have a "Big Bang" mind set and make the choices that will get me down to the low end of my flucking fluctuation number. Have a wonderful Thursday everyone. TOWANDA!!!!!!

You are certainly worth the effort Lisa! Is that the one you are wearing the hot black dress to? As far as your eyes go I am hoping that it will be good news. You are right. Medicine has come a long way since then. Good luck. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Well Lisa get those flucking fluctuations in order and get them the fluck out of Dodge. Yes, like Cathy, good luck on your eyes. I agree that strides have been made today and we have far, far better futures with modern medicine. I also watch my own eyes as my mother had glaucoma and I know it is hereditary. Thanks for coming by. Have a marvelous day.

Hi Lisa! My mother had glaucoma (don't know what kind) from the time she was about 40 and it was decided that it should be left alone. It never got much worse than it was at the beginning and she was able to live with it to a ripe old age without much trouble at all. Be VERY careful with laser surgery such as Lasik. According to a report that I saw on the ABC Evening News w/Diane Sawyer less than two weeks ago, there are *many* problems that have now begun to surface including blurred vision, halo effects, and much worse. Google Lasik and ABC Evening News with Diane Sawyer. Try to find the clip itself as it is very good. I don't know what the "Big Bang" mindset is but even the subtlest of adjustments can make huge differences in our weight. I'm sure you will be able to get back down soon and great job recording the good and the bad. Love you Lisa! :-)

Ditto Info, Lisa. Especially as we journey our midyears. Ours eyes are in constant change. I updated my prescription last month and am glad I've never had eye surgery, as it would have been ineffective for the way my eyes are NOW. How helpful to have a special occasion coming up...always good to have a surge of incentive along the way. A lot can happen in a week when we sustain focus. Step by step!!! Just remember that a woman's true beauty lies in her confidence and self-love. You are beautiful NOW!!!
